     Spitfire 1500 restoration history

  • Bob Danielson TR6 page
Has been working on his 1975 Triumph TR6 for quite some time now, and it looks really great. He sent us his site which features his ongoing and well documented restoration saga. That, plus some other miscellaneous info. What I can't figure out though is how he has time to work, time for his wife, time for his kids, time for his TR6, and still manages to find 'spare' time to document everything on a web site!

  • Claude's Garage
My name is Claude Dennis and these pages contain pictures and histories of some of the cars in my collection. I have collected and restored Brit sportscars for the better part of 30 years now. • Klaus's Sportwagen AH Sprite MK1 und Triumph TR2
More than 30 years I'm fascinated by British Roadsters, may it be a filigrane MG TC or a powerful Morgan +8. It may well be the pure essence of a vehicle, three or four wheels, a strong engine and a chassis which only covers the kidneys. Under extreme weather conditions there might be a soft top mounted but this is not more than a small tent. Comfort is pure luxery and may sometimes be accepted if fitted as heater.

  • Spitfire MK4 to 6 cylinder conversion by Mike Ross
My love for the Spitfire began in 1969 when I was a senior in high school. I worked at an airport in Springfield, Ohio and bought this Mk2 Spitfire from an airplane mechanic. I had to sell it to have money for college, and I've missed it ever since. Now I'm restoring a '67 Spitfire to look much like my high school wheels and go like the one of my dreams.

I ha mentioned the car to a friend on many occaisions, and when he and I were at a "Highland Games" event in Southern Maryland a few years ago, we met a wonderful couple who had two they drove around together- and they had two others for sale. Naturally my buddy and I were interested in these.

  • Triumph Spitfire 1500 Homepage by Mark Bajaj
Tips on buying a Spitfire 1500. Not very technical, but just plain old advice from someone who's bought the car, blown the engine, knackered the gear box, rebuilt the rear end, read the book, and written the website!..

  • Triumph Spitfire 1500 Pages
OK so why have a section for my car? Well I make no apologies for the fact that I love my car - after all it’s not just any car as you can see... For those of you who don’t recognise the shape it’s a Triumph Spitfire 1500. It was registered in October 1975, and I’ve had it since July 1998. Since then I've had a fair bit of work done - the most obvious being a respray from White to Carmine Red along with a full restoration of the body work.

  • Triumph Stag and TR6 Page by Mike Blaisdell
Welcome to my Triumph Stag and TR6 site! My affinity to these cars started with a TR6 I owned while in college. I eventually sold the car and started a family. Several years later, still having that "Triumph" bug, I talked my wife into buying a Stag (back seat for the kids!). That purchase has lead to buying another Stag (yes I own two) and later a TR6 (which I just purchased)! This site gives a little history on both the Triumph Stag and the Triumph TR6 and what I like about both of the models.

  • Triumph TR2-TR3-TR4 WebSite by Barry Shefner
My first Triumph was a brand new 1976 TR7 which I drove in my youte. It was perhaps the most unreliable car that I have ever owned but when it drove it was an exciting vehicle that held the road like no other and brings back many fond memories. Although it spent the better part of it's life in the dealers garage being continually serviced, I kept it for 3 years and I still miss it. (something mysterious about these triumphs which I'm sure no one can adequately explain)
