  Over the years very little has been documented regarding the Alpine's racing history in the US with the possible exception of the Sebring cars.   Sunbeam cars were built in Great Britain from 1899 to 1981. Sunbeam built many different models in this time, although the emphasis was always on upmarket, sporting models. Sunbeam were also very successful in many facets of motorsport.
