     1959 MkI Austin Healey Sprite

  • A Spritely Day at the Track by Jeff Boatright (GA)
So what does it mean to drive a car "at speed?" My chance to do this came the other day when Chip Mautz emailed, telling me that Grassroots Motorsports magazine (GRM) was doing an article on Sprites and Spitfires.

  • Austin-Healey 100 Restoration by Larry Varley
This site is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the Austin Healey 100 sports car. As well as showing the details of the restoration of my own 1955 BN1 Austin Healey, I will endeavour to include as many articles and as much information as possible that may be of interest to other Healey restorers and enthusiasts.

  • Austin-Healey 3000 by Ryan Ledwith's
The restoration of this car is an ongoing project ever since 1978 when I bought it!

  • Bad Dog Racing
Previously, Bill & Will Perry of Rivergate Restorations raced it very successfully in vintage races from 1991 thru 1995. The Bugeye is right-hand drive, and a duplicate of the H Production Sprite Bill raced in the 1960’s and 1970’s. It was raced with a 1293cc engine (.020" overbore) in 1991 & 1992. In 1994 & 1995, it mostly raced with a 998cc engine in the <1000cc class. In this class the car took first place in eleven of fourteen races. It was raced in both sprint and endurance races.

  • Big Healeys by Roger Los
I've arranged this article index by area of interest--certain items which you may want to see, such as the color-picker in the catalog, won't be listed here. If you've got something to contribute, please let me know.

  • British Speedwell Racing
Terry Cowan, owner of Toy Shop Restorations, has been racing vintage sportscars for over 20 years, and our CIO has just begun his second vintage racing season in his Speedwell Sprite roadster. We take our name and inspiration from the famous London tuning firm, Speedwell Performance Conversions, founded in 1957 by John Sprinzel, George Hulbert, and Len Adams.

  • Chris Dimmock's 3000 Mk IIIA 1966 (BJ8)
Welcome to Sydney, Australia - and welcome to my Austin Healey 3000 website. The aim of this site is twofold - providing other Healey enthusiasts with information on the Austin Healey 3000 (marque, news and technical); and the specific history of my 1966 'ivory over black' Austin Healey 3000 Mk IIIA (BJ8) - known as the 'black & white' car.

  • Claude's Garage
My name is Claude Dennis and these pages contain pictures and histories of some of the cars in my collection. I have collected and restored Brit sportscars for the better part of 30 years now. I would be interested in your reaction to these pages and the cars. If you care to, please drop me a line.

To whet your appetite, here's a whole gaggle (giggle?) of Spec Sprites at Texas World Speedway. Go to the Spec-Sprite recipe page for more details on what constitutes a Spec-Sprite

  • FISC - the European Spridget Competitions
Please note entering this site may be dangerous to your wallet. Access to the site & its contents is absolutely free but you will soon be consumed with a desire to come racing with us (hopefully). If you are 18 years old or older please ask your partner or parents before continuing.

  • Gary's Sprite Pages
Good things often come in small packages and the Sprite/Midget is certainly one of them.

  • Gerard's Garage
...my obsession with a certain British Car ...and how it all started...

  • Klaus's Sportwagen AH Sprite MK1 und Triumph TR2
More than 30 years I'm fascinated by British Roadsters, may it be a filigrane MG TC or a powerful Morgan +8. It may well be the pure essence of a vehicle, three or four wheels, a strong engine and a chassis which only covers the kidneys. Under extreme weather conditions there might be a soft top mounted but this is not more than a small tent. Comfort is pure luxery and may sometimes be accepted if fitted as heater.

  • Mk III Austin-Healey Sprite by Jeff Boatright
Our Sprite is a daily driver and a rolling restoration. It's fairly stock with the exception of having a 1275 rather than 1098 cc engine and tubular exhaust. That's Claudia's dad, Wally, in the passenger seat, I'm driving, and this is Christmas in Atlanta. We've owned the car two years and I think the top has been up fewer than a dozen times. It usually takes me several tries before I remember how it works!

  • Psycho Dads by John Nelson
This site is primarily devoted to British Cars. I have a 1965 Austin Healey Sprite MK III named Belle, which I restored several years ago.

  • The story of "Capturing the Bishop"...
If you’ve ever played chess, you understand the relative importance of the "Bishop" in the greater scheme of things. It’s certainly not the most powerful, nor the most important of all the pieces in a chess game. Yet, it’s still a significant piece. This is the story of how I captured the "Bishop".
